What I do

After 25 years of working for the UK public sector, both as a content specialist and senior union activist, I set up this business so I could do what I love.

What I do now

I want to help content designers grow, solve problems and achieve their goals.  â€‹Right now, that means 3 strands of work:

1

Stakeholder management training

With this course, I aim to teach content designers how they can master the strategy and tactics they need to manage stakeholders well and take the stress out of stakeholder management.

2

Stakeholder challenge surgeries

Taking existing scenarios, I work directly with content designers to understand the challenges and come up with effective strategies and tactics they can use to navigate their stakeholder challenges.

3

1:1 coaching for content leaders

It can be hard to be a content lead. Nobody tells you how to do it, let alone how to do it well. As a professional coach, I will work with you to help you become the lead you were always meant to be.

I've spent years honing my skills and craft, as:

  1. Content designer, team lead and strategic lead: in my career, I've been an editor, content designer, strategic team lead, mentor and trainer. I am passionate about content and realistic about the challenges that face content designers. â€‹Find out more about my deliverables in these roles

  2. Union activist and branch chair: I spent 17 years as the branch chair of Birkbeck Unison.  In this role, I was responsible for representing and advocating for the interests of my union members. But I also organised branch activities, chaired meetings, recruited and mentored branch activists, and took the lead on addressing issues such as workplace conditions, grievances and negotiations. As a spokesperson and leader, I worked to protect workers' rights and promote fair treatment.
